The Oxdog Ultimate Pro Light 2027 is a 350g diamond racket for advanced players who want attacking power without the swing weight of a full size diamond frame.
- Shape: Diamond, with the mass and sweet spot high in the head for maximum power in attack.
- Level: Suits advanced players.
- Face: Carbon, firmer and more direct, turning your swing speed straight into ball speed.
- Balance: High, head heavy, putting real weight behind your smashes.
- Weight: 350g, light enough to swing all session without tiring your arm.
- Surface: A rough finish grips the ball, making slice and topspin easier to add.
- Standout: New for 2027 the RBS handle weight drops from 8g to 6g, so you can tune the balance in finer steps, and the wrist cord is now replaceable.
- Value: At £264.99 it is the lightest of the Ultimate Pro family and the one to pick if a 365g diamond tires your arm. Not for intermediates: the Medium+ foam and small sweet spot punish loose technique. The Oxdog Ultimate Court is the same diamond shape at £109.99 and the better starting point.
- HES-Carbon face: Oxdog's hexagonal carbon layup is stiff and reactive, so the ball leaves the face quickly on smashes and volleys. It also holds its stiffness over time, so the racket plays the same in month twelve as it did in week one.
- Medium+ foam core: A firmer core that gives a direct, fast response and keeps ball speed high. You get precise feedback on where you struck the ball, at the cost of a little cushioning compared to a soft racket.
- Diamond shape with high balance: The weight sits towards the top of the head, which is what gives you the extra power on overheads. The trade-off is a smaller sweet spot, which is why this suits advanced players.
- 350g frame: The lightest racket in the Ultimate Pro line. It swings faster and recovers quicker in defence than the standard Ultimate Pro, with less load on the arm.
- SilentSpeed 3D: Oxdog's 3D surface structure on the face, designed to move the racket through the air with less drag and noise on fast swings.
- PowerRibs: Reinforcing ribs along the frame edge that stiffen the frame against twisting, so off-centre hits lose less power and direction.
- Sand surface: A rough, sandy finish that grips the ball so you can add slice and topspin more easily.
- RBS weight system, 6g: A removable 6g stainless steel weight in the handle cap. Leave it in for a slightly lower balance point, take it out to push the balance further towards the head. Down from 8g on the 2026 model, so the adjustment is finer.
- Replaceable wrist cord: The wrist strap now unclips, so a worn cord can be swapped rather than lived with. Alternative straps are due from December.

How do I choose the right padel racket for my skill level and playing style?
Start with your level, then your style. As a rough guide: round rackets have a big sweet spot and maximum control, ideal for beginners and defensive players. Teardrop rackets balance power and control, perfect for most intermediate players. Diamond rackets are power-focused with a smaller sweet spot, best for advanced, aggressive players. The quickest way to narrow it down is our Racket Quiz, answer a few questions about your level, style and budget and it'll recommend the best options currently in stock. You can also check out our YouTube channel where we review and test rackets on court, or just message us on WhatsApp and we'll recommend one personally.
